Your Institute Portal

Every institute on Tejav gets a fully white-labeled learning management system at a custom subdomain. Students never see "Tejav" branding — they see your institute's name, logo, and colors.

Getting Access

   Visit tejav.com/request-access

   Fill the form with your institute name, city, exam categories, and contact details.

   Review (1-2 business days)

   Our team reviews your application and sets up your portal.

   Receive credentials

   You get an email/WhatsApp with your admin login and portal URL.

   Log in at {institute}.tejav.com/admin and complete the setup wizard.

Creating Courses

Courses are the core learning unit. Each course contains chapters, and each chapter has video, text content, a quiz, and key takeaways.

Course Creation Steps

   Go to Admin → Courses → "Create New"

   Opens the course creation form.

   Fill basic details

   Title (English), optional Hindi title, description, thumbnail image URL, category, subject, difficulty level.

   Set pricing

   Choose: Free, Paid (one-time), or Subscription. For paid courses, set the INR amount.

   Configure visibility

   Draft (not visible) → Published (visible to students). You can have chapters in "preview" mode visible without enrollment.

   Add chapters

   Click "Add Chapter" to start building content. See Content section below.

   Publish

   Click "Publish Course" — it immediately appears on your /courses page.

Each chapter can have up to 4 content types: video, text, quiz, and key takeaways. You don't need all four — a text-only or video-only chapter is valid.

Payment Gateway

Tejav integrates with Razorpay for online payments. Supports UPI, debit/credit cards, net banking, and EMI. Payouts to your bank account on a weekly settlement cycle.

Enrolling Students Manually

   Go to Admin → Students

   Search by name or phone number.

   Select student → "Enroll in Course"

   Choose which course(s) to enroll them in.

   Set: Paid, Partial, or Pending. Add amount and payment date.

   Optionally assign to a batch

   Batches group students for bulk messaging and class scheduling.

Batches let you group students by schedule, class, or exam target — and manage them collectively.

Live Classes

Tejav integrates directly with YouTube Live and OBS Studio to give teachers a professional live streaming setup in one click. No YouTube Studio, no manual stream keys — Tejav handles everything. Students watch inside the platform, attend polls, raise hands, mark attendance, and get AI-generated class summaries automatically.

Setup (One Time)

   Connect YouTube channel

   Click "Connect YouTube" → sign in with Google → grant permissions. Tejav stores the OAuth token and can now create broadcasts on your channel automatically.

   Install OBS Studio

   Download OBS Studio (free, obs.org) on the teacher's computer. Enable WebSocket Server: Tools → WebSocket Server Settings → Enable WebSocket Server (default port 4455).

   Connect OBS in Tejav

   On the Live Classes page, click "Connect to OBS". Enter port (4455) and password if you set one. Tejav connects directly to OBS via WebSocket.

   Schedule your first class

   Click "+ Schedule Class", fill in title, date/time, and assign to batches. Students get push + WhatsApp notification immediately.

Going Live — Step by Step

   Pre-Live Checklist

   A 6-point checklist appears before going live: YouTube connected ✓, Broadcast created ✓, Stream key in OBS ✓, OBS WebSocket connected ✓. All must be green before starting.

   Create the YouTube broadcast

   Click "Create YouTube Broadcast" on the session card. Tejav calls the YouTube API and creates a broadcast + stream — no YouTube Studio needed.

   Configure OBS automatically

   Click "⚙️ Configure OBS Stream" — Tejav pushes the RTMP URL and stream key directly to OBS. One click, no copy-pasting.

   Set up your classroom scenes

   In the Scenes tab, click "Setup Classroom Scenes". Tejav creates 3 OBS scenes: 📽️ Lecture (fullscreen slides), 🖥 Demo (screen + webcam), 💬 Q&A (webcam only).

   Click Go Live

   Press "🔴 Go Live" — Tejav starts OBS streaming and tells YouTube to go live simultaneously. Students see the class on their home page within seconds.

While the class is live, a full command panel appears on the session card:

   Click "End Stream"

   Tejav stops OBS streaming and calls the YouTube API to close the broadcast. The recording appears on YouTube automatically.

   Generate AI Summary

   Click "✨ Generate AI Summary" on the ended session. Tejav fetches the YouTube transcript + chapter timestamps you marked, and generates: topics covered, key concepts, 3 practice questions, and a homework suggestion.

   Missed-class notification

   2 hours after the class ends, students who didn't mark OTP attendance automatically receive a push notification + WhatsApp with the recording link.

Attendance & Analytics

View who attended live (OTP-verified) and who missed under each session card. Attendance is separate from YouTube views — only students who entered the OTP code are counted as present.

WhatsApp Integration

Tejav's WhatsApp integration is the most powerful communication channel for institutes. Use it for daily micro-tests, announcements, fee reminders, class alerts, and exam notifications.

Setting Up WhatsApp

   Go to Admin → WhatsApp → Connect

   Enter your institute's WhatsApp business number.

   Scan the QR code

   Open WhatsApp on your phone → Linked Devices → Link a Device → Scan the QR.

   Confirm connection

   Status shows "Connected". Your number is now ready to send messages.

   Enable daily tests

   Toggle "Daily Micro-Tests" → choose delivery time → select which courses to include.

Broadcasting to Batches

   Select recipients: All Students, specific Batch, or individual.

   Use {name} to personalize with student name. Supports bold (*text*) and emojis.

Study Materials Marketplace

List books, notes, and study materials that your institute sells or recommends. Students browse at /store and inquire directly via WhatsApp — no payment processing needed.

   Opens the material form.

   Title, subject (dropdown), class level (6-12 or General), board (CBSE/ICSE/State/All).

Certificates

Auto-generate digital course completion certificates with your institute's branding. Students receive them via email and can download a PDF.

Certificate Setup

   Choose a template or upload your own design.
