Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using Tejav. By accessing or using the platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Tejav.
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Tejav. By creating an account, enrolling in a course, or otherwise using any part of our platform, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old (or have parental consent if younger), that you have read and understood these Terms, and that you agree to comply with them. If you are accepting on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
2. Description of Service
Tejav is an AI-powered EdTech platform that allows:
- →Students to enrol in courses, take AI-generated quizzes, practise flashcards, track concept mastery, and interact with an AI teacher.
- →Institutes & Teachers to upload educational content (PDFs), auto-generate courses and quizzes, manage student enrolments in batches, set deadlines, and view analytics.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time with reasonable notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the service.
3. User Accounts
- ✓You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activities that occur under your account.
- ✓You must provide accurate and complete information when registering. Impersonation of another person or organisation is prohibited.
- ✓You must notify us immediately at support@tejav.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
- ✓One person may not maintain multiple free accounts to circumvent plan limits.
4. Student & Institute Accounts
Students
Students may register directly or be enrolled by an institute. When enrolled by an institute, the institute admin has access to your quiz scores, mastery data, and progress reports. The institute is responsible for obtaining any necessary consents from students under 18.
Institutes & Teachers
Institutes are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of the content they upload. By uploading a PDF or other material, you confirm you have the rights to use and distribute that content on Tejav. Institutes must not upload content that violates third-party copyrights, contains harmful material, or is otherwise unlawful.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- ✗Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
- ✗Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically extract data from the platform
- ✗Use automated bots to submit quiz answers or generate AI chat messages at scale
- ✗Upload content that is defamatory, obscene, discriminatory, or infringes third-party rights
- ✗Share your account credentials with others or allow concurrent sessions under a single account for different individuals
- ✗Attempt to circumvent any security measure, rate limit, or access control
- ✗Use the AI teacher to generate content that is unrelated to the enrolled course or for harmful purposes
Violation of these rules may result in immediate account suspension or termination without refund.
6. Content Ownership
Your content: You retain ownership of all content you upload (PDFs, course materials). By uploading content, you grant Tejav a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to process, store, and display that content solely to provide the service to you and your enrolled students.
AI-generated content: Quizzes, summaries, and other content auto-generated by Tejav from your uploads are made available to you under the same licence as your source content. You may use them as part of your courses.
Platform content: The Tejav platform, brand, UI, and all non-user-generated content are the exclusive property of Tejav and may not be copied, modified, or distributed without written permission.
7. AI Features Disclaimer
The AI teacher is powered by OpenAI and is constrained to answer based on the course material provided. However, no AI system is infallible. Tejav makes no warranty that AI responses are accurate, complete, or free of hallucinations. Teachers and institutes are responsible for reviewing AI-generated quiz questions before publishing them to students.
8. Payment & Subscriptions
Student accounts have a free tier with full access to enrolled free courses. Paid student plans (Pro, Warrior) are billed monthly and unlock additional AI credits and features.
Institute plans are billed monthly or annually. A 14-day free trial is available for new institute accounts; no credit card is required to start the trial.
All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) and inclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
Refunds: Subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law or at our sole discretion. If you believe a charge is in error, contact billing@tejav.com within 7 days of the charge.
9. Termination
You may close your account at any time from your account settings. Upon closure, your personal data will be deleted within 30 days (see our Privacy Policy for exceptions).
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms, engage in fraud, or if we are required to do so by law. Termination for cause does not entitle you to a refund. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before termination except where prohibited or where immediate action is necessary to protect the platform or other users.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Tejav and its directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of data, loss of revenue, or loss of learning outcomes — arising from your use of or inability to use the platform.
Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service shall not exceed the amount you paid to Tejav in the 3 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or ₹500, whichever is greater.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email (to the address on your account) and by displaying a notice on the platform at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of Tejav after the effective date of the updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the platform and may close your account.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of Tejav shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India. If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction that provides mandatory consumer protection laws, those laws may also apply to you.
